Berkmar High School Back To School Drive

Founder Contressa Oliver gives free haircuts to students of the community so that they are ready for the first day of school.

How We Helped Students Gear Up for the School Year at Berkmar High School

At Revilo Gives, we believe that when students feel confident, they perform better — in the classroom and beyond. That’s why we were proud to kick off our back-to-school season with a special community event at Berkmar High School that combined care, confidence, and community.

In partnership with local leaders and organizations in Gwinnett County, Revilo Gives distributed hygiene kits filled with essentials like toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, feminine products, and more. These small but vital items can make a big difference in a student's day-to-day comfort and self-esteem.

But we didn’t stop there.

Our founder, Contressa Oliver, rolled up her sleeves (and pulled out her clippers!) to provide free haircuts on-site, giving students a fresh start and fresh confidence before heading into a new school year. For many teens, a good haircut isn't just about appearance — it’s about pride, presence, and walking into school ready to thrive.

The smiles, hugs, and thank-yous reminded us why we do what we do. Every product given, every cut made, was about more than supplies or style — it was about supporting the whole student.

This event was just one of many ways Revilo Gives continues to invest in youth, education, and dignity through direct action. We’re grateful to everyone who volunteered, donated, and showed up with heart.

Together, we’re giving more than goods. We’re giving hope.
